5. Her Godfather

Bengaluru Imperial Branch: VIP Room.4001

"Mamma, this hotel is so big and it has a big pond inside!" eyes as big as his lids can offer and stretching his small hands in all the direction with excitement, the ever silent kid was a complete transformation for his mother.

"It is called swimming pool not pond Kanna, remember we saw that in TV. And please stop jumping while eating." Though this new face of her beloved son is a pleasant sight for her but the overjoyed kid not having food properly is unacceptable for the ever disciplined lady.

"Wow! Swimming pool?!! Mamma can I go and play in that?" The request came with a puppy eyes and a pout on his face which is very new and shocking site for the bemused lady.

Studying the pleasant site with an amused look a long heart content sign came from her. She recalled the struggles she went through to mother this beautiful bundle of joy with a smile and tears in her eyes which blurred her eyesight. 4 long years of hard work was nothing comparison to the gorgeous happy soul in front of her whom she calls her own.

"Sure you can but not alone, when Nana comes he will take you. So finish your food before he comes. Okay?" patting his head lovingly, she resumed feeding him the food which she ordered a while ago.

"How is Sara beta? Is my Grandson okay?" The worry and care in the eyes of the mighty and merciless Indrajith Prathap Singh is news for all the mortals present there.

It's not new for Sham Datta who worked for him over 40 years. Of course it was only when his wife Pushpala Indrajith Singh was still alive. With his beloved wife, son and daughter-in-law's death Indrajith forgot the world of family even his only grandson and immersed himself in his work. Burring all the emotions and sorrows within him, he waited for the afterlife to reunite with her.

But Sara came in his life like an angel blessing him with his great grandson, introducing him to the love of family once again.

"They are perfectly fine Badesab. As per your instructions we kept them in 4001." Datta, his PA answered the worried old man.

Sighing with momentary relief he stared to trek to the room while Datta filled in all the information of the event of the morning. Once done with the narration he excused himself to go and check for their travel back to Delhi.

---

Indrajith recalled the day he met his lovely daughter. It's been 4 long years yet he knows that day like the back of his hand. He is still perplexed to call that day a blessing because he met her or a dreadful because the state she was in.

Shaking his head to come out of those memories he knocked the door twice and waited with an excitement to meet his grandson. And why not, it's been 5 long months he last saw that little cunning devil.

When the door opened he came face to face with the distressed Sara who welcomed him with the smile which didn't reach her eyes.

"Papa, come in. Isar see Nana came." The cheerful call to her son or her going to order coffee for him all made clear of her stressed and fearful state.

"Nannaaa...! What took you so long? And where is my Aeroplane?" The little rascal didn't even care to greet or give his Gradfather a hug before shooting his needs.

Laughing out loud with his antics the old man lovingly took him in his arms. After squeezing him to his heart content he put him on the ground.

After giving Isar his toys and chatting for few minutes Indrajith made his way to Sara who was silently witnessing the duo from balcony.

"Now, would you explain me clearly what is bothering you?" The caring voice of her Papa's disturbed her thoughts.

"When you know the answer why you asking Papa?" finally letting the disturbing angry and fear filled tears out of eyes she faced him completely turning towards him.

"Shhh... I told you I will take care of everything, why are u worrying about it beta?" holding her hands in his the worried parent tried to reassure her.

"He was so close to getting us Papa. And his people saw Isar with me. By now HE would have gotten the news. More importantly HE knew where to search for me now. What to do now papa? What if he takes my son away? I can't lose him Papa. I cannot leave without Isar." Her tears continued to flow without any pause while her cracked voice broke the old heart.

"I know I was late in protecting you this time, I am sorry beta. But I promised that I will never allow even his shadow to touch you. And you know that Indrajith will never forget his promise. Coming to Isar, no one has enough guts to lay his eyes on My Greatgrandson. Not even my Grandson IYRA RAJVEER SINGH. You just get ready to come with me to Delhi with Isar." even though relieved by the assurance she got from him, the last statement shook her to the core.

"W-What do you mean D-Delhi?! You know I cannot go there, how much I hate that place. And what are you telling me Papa?" Her shuttering broken voice with shaking hands explained her hatred and fear of that place and that one person's presence there.

Indrajit Never imagined in his entire life that he was going to hate his own kin this much. But after witnessing Sara on that dreaded night and yet her frightened state today just by mention of that place intensified his hatred for his Grandson.

"Beta, Fear not. You know I'm with you. I will never allow any harm to touch you. I will protect you with my life. And I hate myself more for asking you to come THERE. But since he knows that I'm involved in this now. So it is not a good idea for you to stay away from me. The only option is for you to follow me. You never allowed me to support you financially or any other way and I respected your decision and did as you said. So please listen to me this once beta". She knew that Indrajith was never a person who requests anything from anyone. But he is only a father when it comes to her.

The plea was heart wrenching to listen to for the daughter giving her no reason to deny it, despite her fear for that place or that PERSON.
